Let's crank it up to 11!

We teamed up with director Mark Szumski from Hey Beautiful Jerk to produce some serious visual insanity for Metallica's "Crown of Barbed Wire" video.
This wasn't our first rodeo with the man, as we'd previously brought the thunder to Mastodon's "Fallen Torches" video.
Mark threw down the gauntlet and challenged us to create a post-apocalyptic, decaying cityscape. Needless to say, we were more than ready!
We unleashed a mind-bending 50 shots of our customised Mandalay and MixPinski fractal formulas, complete volumetric fog and clouds for that extra gritty vibe.
It was an awesome gig to work on, and Mark's open-minded approach made it an absolute pleasure to let our creative juices flow.
Fun fact: Jesper previously did VFX on Metallica's "The Unnamed Feeling" video back in 2003.
